ELECTRONIC BRACHYTHERAPY (EBX)

One such innovative treatment is Electronic Brachytherapy (EBX), which uses targeted x-ray radiation to remove cancer lesions without harming surrounding tissues.

This cutting-edge technology makes treatment easier physically and psychologically. During the procedure, an applicator is placed directly on the lesion, delivering x-ray bursts for a few minutes. Since the radiation levels are non-toxic, no specialized protective clothing is needed, and your provider can stay with you throughout the treatment and offer many advantages, including:

• Minimal blistering. Unlike more conventional radiation treatments, EBX causes very little (if any) blistering on the skin. This significantly increases comfort and reduces the negative psychological effects of skin cancer treatment.
